Ole and Magdalena Olsen Farm

In June 2025, we were hard at work at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore’s annual barn workshop at the Ole Olsen farm. PHSB took on three projects at the farmhouse. Due to water damage, siding was replaced on an entire section as well as the drip line and flashing. The second project was roof repairs. Finally, we did a lot of digging to install a new drainage system to move water away from the house and prevent further deterioration to the foundation. Thank you to this dedicated crew! The workshop completed numerous projects at this late 1800s farm in a beautiful setting visited by many park hikers.

Sleeping Bear Forever has a long history of work on Ole Olsen farm including painting the farmhouse in 2015 and we are committed to future restoration projects on the interior.
