After painting this 1800s house in 2015, we are beginning restoration of the interior of the farmhouse located in the Port Oneida Rural Historic District
Come join us Saturday, May 28 at 9:30 am to help pick up litter from the section of M-22 in the Port Oneida Rural Historic District one mile in each direction from the Olsen Farm as an adopt-a-highway partner with MDOT.
Cultural landscape features within Sleeping Bear Dunes includes gardens, fence rows, pine plantations, windbreaks, cemeteries, antique orchards, old roads, meadows, agricultural fields, and ornamental plantings such as lilacs.
What is left of the Eitzen farm fence lining the entrance of the driveway, will be restored by volunteers in July. The farm is in the Good Harbor area of the national park.

Charles and Hattie Olsen Farmhouse
The Olsen farm is home to PHSB and the Port Oneida Heritage Center. Several projects are slated for 2022 that will need volunteer help.
Faust Log Cabin
Faust Log Cabin – located at Inspiration Point, this cabin is a jewel in the National Park. There are on-going projects to tackle.
North Unity School
In the woods overlooking Narada Lake, the transformation of the little schoolhouse will be completed this summer
Kraitz Log Cabin
This oldest structure on the mainland in the park has been taken from deterioration to almost complete restoration.
