Our class sizes are limited given the space, and the level of teaching we seek to provide. By registering early, you help  ensure you can get into the class, and also let’s us know earlier that we have the minimum number of participants needed.

Catalogs will be mailed by request only.

OTHER FEES:

Many classes require a supplies or materials fee which is in addition to the course fee. These are noted at the end of the class descriptions.  Fees do NOT include lodging. Lodging is paid for separately at the lodging of your choice.

Participant Cancellation

If you cancel your class registration more than 14 days ahead of the class start date, you will receive a full refund less a 25% cancellation fee (based on tuition cost).

Students who cancel their enrollment 14 days or less prior to the first day of the course are not eligible for a refund.

Class Cancellation

Each class requires a minimum number of students to be registered. If the Folk School cancels a class for any reason, registered students will receive a full refund or may transfer to another class.  If you are traveling to the area by plane, we recommend that you wait until the class has met minimum enrollment before booking your flight.  We cannot be responsible for nonrefundable airline tickets.

AREA LODGING:

There are several options for lodging in the area of Leelanau and Benzie County including hotels, resorts, cottages, campgrounds, and airbnbs. Again, fees do NOT include lodging or meals. Lodging is paid for separately at the lodging of your choice.  As a tourist destination we strongly encourage you to book early.
