This oldest structure on the mainland in the park has been taken from deterioration to complete restoration. Once in good condition, a tree had fallen on the building and it deteriorated quickly. Over several years and stages, our contractors replaced 9 logs, volunteers replaced the floor, restored all windows, filled between the logs with chinking, rebuild doors, built a front stoop and applied linseed clear-coat to the cabin trim and door.
