What better place to reach into the roots of your heritage than on the historic land
of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore where the Annishinabek and an
agricultural community lived, played, and survived through their ingenuity,
tenacity and self-reliance. In that same spirit, we offer immersive hands-on learning of traditional skills, crafts, music, agriculture, and field programs in this beautiful setting.

Registration is Open!

While the Sleeping Bear Folk & Field School officially launches this year, its roots go back many years. Inspired by visits to folk schools across the country and decades of sharing traditional skills through programs like the Port Oneida Fair, this school has been thoughtfully envisioned as a natural extension of Sleeping Bear Forever’s nearly 30 years of preserving and sharing the region’s heritage.

As we roll out our humble foray into this wonderful space, we would be honored to have you join us in one of the most beautiful spots on earth – the Annishinabek’s “Land of Delight”.
